The AntiChrist Gave Me a Call Last Night

by Ashley Jensen in Blog, COMMUNICATE, Funny Stuff, LIFE

First off… my posting to the ‘ole bloggage has been pitiful. My bad, but I do want to start writing more this year which includes a couple book ideas and posting more here. The posts will be shorter, simpler, and really quite random at times I’m sure, but more frequent. So here it goes.

I’m snoozing away last night and out of the blue my phone rings. I was quite irritated because my phone is also my alarm making think it was time to get up already. But it wasn’t my alarm at all. I answered my phone and asked, “Who is this?” He said, “I’m the antichrist.” Wow. Really? He was calling me? Pretty sure it wasn’t him, it was a crank call. This was the worst crank call ever. Very uncreative. I mean do some research, check out the Jerky Boys or something! Seriously, so lame. I hung up the first time, then the antichrist called me back. I felt little taken back that the soon-coming-one-world leader would call me twice. So, half-asleep, I asked, “What do you want?” Silence. OK, you’ve got my attention. But nothing happened. Dumbest crank caller ever. Kinda like Brian Regan, only worse.

Got me thinking though. How many times do we ‘take calls’ from things that would seem irritating or even intimidating? Too many huh? Yep, me too. We don’t have to live like that anymore. God has a better plan for us.

So let’s hear back… what’s worst or funniest crank call ever? What or who are you ‘taking calls’ from that need a ‘call block’?

Wise words and thoughts. It is important to guard ourselves from evil, but sometimes we let things slide with out noticing. So we have to work on being on guard and focusing more on the Goal. On the LIGHT. And becoming what God wants us to be so we can help others. I hope you keep writing, I really enjoy reading your posts. And I pray you have the self discipline and words that you’ll need to write those books! God bless you and your family today and always!
